The airtime I used to buy from a shop or from someone else, I now buy from my own vending business. It may not be a fast money-making business, but I enjoy it. I enjoy giving service to my community. I enjoy bringing business closer to people who would otherwise have to pay taxi fare to buy airtime far away. I enjoy the good feeling of keeping people connected—lighting up homes, helping someone make a call, and sometimes being the reason someone can reach an ambulance or the police at midnight. Not every investment pays quickly. Some pay in connection, convenience, and the quiet joy of being useful where you live.
