Resolutions 2026/October

 # 🚢 October Check-In: How's Your Resolution Boat Sailing?

Ten months ago, we all stood at the dock in January with freshly written resolutions in hand. Some of us had a detailed map. Some of us just had a dream and a paddle. Either way, we pushed off.

Now it's October. The water's been… interesting.

Some of you have sailed smoothly — hitting milestones, ticking boxes, feeling that wind in your sails. **We celebrate you.** Keep going.

Some of you have been through storms — life happened, plans shifted, that boat took on a little water. **That's not failure. That's navigation.**

And some of you… may have quietly docked the boat somewhere back in March and haven't thought about it since. **This post is for you.**

## 🧭 A Few Honest Questions

Take two minutes and ask yourself:

- When did I last look at the resolutions I wrote in January?

- Which one still excites me — and which one was just peer pressure?

- What's *one* thing I could still finish before December 31?

- What got in the way — and was it truly out of my control, or was it comfort?

No shame in the answers. Just honesty. **Awareness is the first stroke of the paddle.**

## 📅 Do the Math — Then Do the Work

There are roughly **90 days left** in this year.

Ninety days is not a leftover. It's a whole season. It's enough to:

- Finish that book you've been "almost done with" since June

- Build a habit so deeply that January you won't recognize February you

- Save, learn, train, heal, start, restart

- Turn a "failed resolution" into a **comeback story**

You don't need a whole year. You need the next 90 days, used deliberately.

## ⚓ 5 Ways to Steer the Boat Ashore

**1. Re-read your list — out loud.**

Yes, actually read it. Half of us have forgotten what we promised ourselves.

**2. Choose TWO. Not ten.**

Ten resolutions is a wish list. Two is a plan.

**3. Shrink them until they're laughably small.**

"Write a novel" becomes "write 200 words every morning." Small steps move big boats.

**4. Track it visibly.**

A note on your phone, a calendar, a jar of coins, a wall chart. What gets seen gets done.

**5. Tell one person.**

Accountability is the wind in your sails. You were never meant to row alone.

## 🌅 The Truth About Year-End

December 31st will arrive whether you use these next 90 days or not. The date is fixed. **The story isn't.**

You don't have to finish everything. You don't have to be perfect. You just have to refuse to let this year end on autopilot.

So pull up the anchor. Patch what needs patching. Adjust the map if you must — but **keep sailing.**

There's still open water ahead. 🚢
