My God Given Talents

 **Title: My God-Given Talents**

Every human being is born with unique abilities, and I believe my Creator placed me on this earth with a specific purpose. If you haven't discovered your own talents yet, don't worry—they are there, waiting to be uncovered. I found mine through singing, writing, and football, and each one has shaped my life in ways I never expected.

**Singing**  

My voice first found expression at home, singing alongside my family. Then at church, and later in school, I discovered the joy of performing. In primary school, I joined a concert group; in secondary school, I became part of a choir that competed in song festivals—and we won a triple! That success fueled my passion, and in 2008 I released my debut Gospel album, featuring ten songs. That same year, I entered an awards ceremony and came out victorious as Best Gospel Solo Artist. To date, I’ve penned at least sixty songs, and I once had the honor of performing at the Okahandja Trade Fair in Namibia.

**Writing**  

I realized I had a way with words during Grade 10, when my essays stood out. That sparked a dream to become a professional journalist. Even after school, people would bring me forms to fill, and at church and family gatherings, they trusted me to take minutes. From 2000 to 2004, I served as the local church council secretary. In 2021, just a day before my 46th birthday, I became a Google AdSense–approved Blogger and Publisher for my blog, *Beyond46*.

**Football**  

As a lad growing up on farms, I didn’t watch soccer on TV, but I played as if I’d trained at an academy. Today’s generation is lucky to have such facilities, but back then we made do with natural talent. I played for the under-10, under-14, under-16, and under-18 teams in primary school, and continued in secondary school. After graduating, I played for my church’s team during fun days.

**A Word of Advice**  

If you haven’t yet discovered your talent, do a talent search. Look back at your achievements in different activities—what came naturally? What made you lose track of time? I believe you’ll find at least one hidden gift. And when you do, nurture it, for it was given to you for a purpose.
